Electronic & Algorithmic Trading
Electronic execution depends on the stack behind the order: OMS, EMS, routing, market access, venue connectivity and algo controls.

Markets & Trading
The value of a platform programme is decided in implementation: configuration, data, integration and the operating model around them.
A platform decision shapes the desk for years. The hard part is not only selecting the system, but designing the operating model, migrating the book, integrating the data and controls, and keeping live trading moving through the change.
Capmark helps banks, asset managers and superannuation funds select, implement and migrate the platforms behind the desk. We work across trading, investment, treasury and markets platforms, with experience across Calypso, Murex, Aladdin, Charles River, Fidessa, Bloomberg AIM and EMSX, Integral, OPICS, Fenics, Iress and Barracuda.
Our people have delivered platform change inside global banks and major investment funds across equities, fixed income, FX and derivatives. Engagements range from scored vendor selection to full implementation ownership, including booking, valuation, risk, P&L, post-trade integration, cutover and adoption.
For energy and commodity trading systems, see ETRM & CTRM Platforms.
We define the target operating model first, then test each candidate against your products, volumes and trade lifecycle through scripted demonstrations using your own book. Total cost is assessed across licence, integration, support and upgrade cycles. The output is a recommendation the board can fund and a contract the vendor can be held to.
We migrate position keeping, valuation, intraday risk and P&L to the new platform, along with the investment and accounting books of record behind the desk. Migrations run in phases by asset class, with parallel running, reconciliation evidence and rollback points at every gate.
We design and deliver the workflows and integration architecture behind order flow, connectivity, compliance checks and downstream feeds. We hold the vendor to the build and run structured testing so cutover is controlled and live trading is protected.
We integrate collateral and margin workflows into the platform and test downstream feeds to confirmation, settlement, finance and reporting. Interfaces, reconciliations and cutover sequencing are planned as workstreams from the start.
We run user acceptance testing, parallel runs, phased go-live and hypercare, with front office, operations, risk and technology signed off at each gate. We stay until performance is stable and transition workarounds have been retired.
A Senior Practitioner leads from day one. The first weeks assess the current platform estate and produce a target-state design agreed with front office, operations, risk and technology before any vendor commitment.
We then manage the vendor, oversee integration, run structured testing, coordinate cutover and stay through hypercare and desk adoption.
Engagements range from platform selection and target design to full build, migration, go-live and recovery of stalled implementations.
Sequenced through selection and target design, then build, integration and go-live.
Establish the current state, the constraints, the risks and the value at stake.
Shape the target model and the business case with the executives who own the outcome.
Stand up the team, the plan and the governance around the outcome.
Design, build and test the change, with the business alongside.
Cutover, hypercare and handover, so the business runs it under its own control.
